If the workspace is narrow and pedestrians or other trucks may cross your road, the braking system of the pallet truck must work properly. In vehicles with a steering handle, the operator is sometimes outside the truck and not protected by the chassis.
Here, Linde uses a protective operating platform in the pallet truck and equips the pedestrian model with a protective combination brake and assist system: when the operator releases the drive pedal or switch, the reverse current brake will automatically activate. In addition, the electromagnetic emergency stop or parking brake can be activated as needed. Some pallet trucks also independently lower their speed when turning, adjust their driving behavior according to the current situation, or provide assistance when climbing hills.
